Chelation
Chelation therapy has been used for many years to treat heavy metal
poisoning and the effects of heavy metals in the body. The major
indications for chelation are;
- elevated Blood Lead Levels (see more here)
- coronary artery disease (leading to
angina and heart attack)
- disease involving the leg arteries
(leading to intermittent claudication, leg pain with walking and
amputation)
- arteries to the brain (leading to TIA and
stroke)
- other arteries - to the kidneys, gut and
other tissues
Many people have achieved benefit from
chelation therapy, especially those who have reached the stage where
conventional medicine or surgery has little further to offer. However,
just as these patients often achieve major benefits, the preventive
benefits of chelation, and its use in the treatment of early disease,
is probably equally, if not more effective.
Chelation can also be used for a number of other conditions including -
leg ulceration, diabetes, some forms of arthritis and a number of other
conditions where free radical damage, which is aggravated by heavy
metals, is present.
